Our Pastor

Pastor Bob Capehart was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He was saved at the age of 9 at Conwell Memorial Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA. Bob later served as a deacon for 4 years, taught the teen Sunday School class for 10 years and was the youth leader for 10 years. Bob’s future wife Marianne also attended this church and she was saved at this church when she was 12. They were married in this church on November 7, 1981, and have been married for forty years. They have a son James, and two grandsons, James Jr. and Declan.

Bob and Marianne began to attend Bensalem Baptist Church in Bensalem, PA, in September 1987, and became members 3 months later. About a year and a half after joining the church, in the spring of 1989, at a mission’s conference at the church, the Lord called Bob to preach and go to the mission field. Marianne and Bob went forward and kneeled down and prayed, and told the Lord they would go wherever He wanted to send them.

During the years from 1988 until 1995, Bob and Marianne served as youth leaders. Bob also served in different areas of ministry. He was a Sunday School teacher, the Sunday School superintendent, a bus worker, a deacon, an AWANA leader, and also served on the pulpit committee that called the church’s former pastor, Dr Bruce Love.
Bob had the opportunity to visit Romania on three short term mission trips. A ten day trip in May of 1992, a two week trip in September of 1992, and a one month trip in the summer of 1993. It was on his second trip that the Lord called him to the country of Romania. The third mission’s trip was spent conducting Vacation Bible Schools.

Bob graduated from Northeast Baptist School of Theology in May of 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in Missiololgy. He was ordained on October 29th, 1995 at the Bensalem Baptist Church.

Bob and Marianne began deputation in 1995, and left for the mission field of Romania in December of 1999. The Capeharts served the Lord in the mission field of Romania for almost 21 years as church planters.

The Lord changed the direction of their ministry and they returned to the States in November of 2020 to seek the Lord’s will for future ministry. On July 11, 2021 the Berean Bible Fellowship Church voted to extend a call for Bob Capehart to be their Pastor. Bob accepted the call and became the pastor of Berean Bible Fellowship on July 18, 2021.
